SCHEDULE: Primarily Fridays & Sundays, with additional birthday-event shifts available

POSITION SUMMARY
Laro Tayo is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and community-oriented Part-Time Family Experience Coordinator to join our team.
Laro Tayo is a family-centered space serving indoor play for children ages 0–5 and their families in Kent, Washington. Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment where children can play, families can connect, and meaningful community relationships can develop.
The Family Experience Coordinator will support daily operations, open play sessions, family programming, community events, and private birthday celebrations. This position is well suited for an individual with an interest or background in early childhood education, childcare, recreation, hospitality, events, or community programming.
We are seeking an individual who is comfortable working with young children and families, demonstrates strong customer service skills, and is interested in contributing ideas and helping develop programs that strengthen our family and local business community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome families and provide friendly customer service
Support open play, check-in, and guest needs
Keep the space safe, clean, and organized
Lead crafts, sensory activities, games, and family programs
Support Friday programming and Sunday Open Play
Assist with birthday parties and special events
Set up and reset the space for programs and events
Work with local vendors and community partners
Help develop new activities and family experiences
Support daily operations as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ability to interact professionally and positively with children, parents, and community members
Experience working with or around young children
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
Ability to successfully complete a required background screening
Preferred
Experience in childcare, early childhood education, teaching, camps, recreation, hospitality, customer service, events, or community programming
Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification
Experience leading children's activities, crafts, or educational programming
Interest in early childhood development, family services, education, or community engagement

Schedule & Hours
This is a part-time position with an anticipated starting schedule of approximately Fridays and Sundays up to 14 hours a week.
Friday responsibilities may include:
Open Play support
Family programming and activities
Parent Social Hour
Community and vendor engagement
Sunday responsibilities may include:
Sunday Open Play Sessions
Family activities
Birthday Party guest services and facility support
Please note: The initial schedule is intentionally limited as Laro Tayo continues to expand. While additional hours may become available over time, the company cannot guarantee a specific number of hours beyond the currently scheduled shifts.
Compensation: $17.13 per hour
This is a part-time, hourly position. The initial schedule is expected to consist primarily of Friday and Sunday shifts, with opportunities for additional hours during Sunday birthday celebrations and other special events.
