We’re Turning One!
One year ago, we opened the doors to Laro Tayo with a simple idea: create a place where families can play, work, party, and connect. This October, we’re celebrating the first year of our community joining us in this journey and we’d love for you to be part of it. We’re filling the entire month with extra opportunities to celebrate our anniversary and Filipino-American History Month. We will also be using our website to post our monthly schedule and updates as they pop-up throughout the month.
One of the things we love most about Laro Tayo is that every visit can look a little different. Some days, you might come for a quiet morning of open play. Another day, you might join us for Wiggles & Bubbles, grab Filipino food for lunch, bring a friend for a special workshop, or celebrate a birthday. This October, you might find yourself meeting Bluey, sailing into our Grand Opening anniversary with Moana, joining us on a Sunday, or discovering a new local small business through one of our pop-ups. You don’t have to make it to everything. We just hope that somewhere in this month of celebrations, there’s something that gives your family a reason to come visit.
If Laro Tayo has been part of your family's year, whether you've visited once, celebrated a birthday here, attended a class, met a friend, or become one of the families we get excited to see walk through the door again, thank you! This first year has been shaped by the people who have chosen to spend their time here. We’re so excited to see what year two brings because the best celebrations are the ones shared with the people around you.
LET’S PLAY AND CELEBRATE TOGETHER THIS MONTH OF OCTOBER
We’re also excited to share that Laro Tayo will be open for play every Sunday in October. Whether your weekdays are busy, you’re looking for a slower weekend activity, or you want to meet up with friends and family, Sundays are another opportunity to come play. Throughout the month, some Sundays may also include special pop-ups, workshops, and activities that you can enjoy during your visit or register for separately. Be sure to check our calendar before your visit to see what’s happening each week.
October 8th is our Soft Opening Anniversary so for the first time, we are inviting a special friend for a playdate with your littles. Come play, take photos, and celebrate with us during this private anniversary event. RSVP is required to join. Walk-in capacity is not guaranteed. Open play session will resume after the event.
October 22nd is our RIbbon-Cutting Anniversary and our special playdate will be joining us for even more play, games, crafts, music, and more. This is a private anniversary event and so reservation is required to join. Walk-in capacity is not guaranteed. Open play session will resume after the event.
REGULAR ROTATION OF ACTIVITIES
Monday Wellness Sessions Join us for rotating pampering experiences and pop-ups designed to give parents and caregivers a chance to enjoy something for themselves while their little ones play nearby.
Wednesday Wiggles & Bubbles Join Ms. Jennifer every Wednesday for a fun and interactive experience for little ones. Our regular Wednesday activity is included with admission, making it an easy way to add something special to your playday.
Friday Filipino Food Pop-Ups We’re excited to continue welcoming Filipino food pop-ups at Laro Tayo, giving families an opportunity to enjoy delicious food while spending time together in the space. Stop by to play, grab lunch, or do both.
MONTHLY MEETUPS FOR GROWN-UPS
• SOCIAL HOUR For caregivers wanting adult conversation. Sip complimentary tea, join a simple craft, and chat while the kids play. Come to mingle or just sit nearby, no forced icebreakers! Join with a play session or if you’re an entrepreneurs or experts in your fields, you are also invited here to introduce a skill, service, or product with our community in a casual setting.
• BLOOM & BELONG For entrepreneurs, freelancers, and dreamers. Connect with fellow change-makers, share resources, and talk through goals with people who get the juggle. Potluck treats are always welcome but optional. Free to join and kids are welcome with regular paid admission, play package, or membership.
• LIVE ALIGNED For the caregivers filling everyone else's cup. Take an evening to pause, reset, and focus on you. Local Live Aligned Coach Vanessa leads each workshop around a monthly topic, a thoughtful take-home craft, light refreshments, and time to connect with other caregivers.
